This paper examines the prevalence and characteristics of drugs and sex that put delinquent youth at risk of STD infection. Many of the study’s participants were engaged in at least 10 risk behaviors, including unprotected sex while intoxicated, high risk partners and trading sex and drugs. The authors call for a coordinated approach between various health, justice, and education sectors to address the prevalence of risk for HIV and STD infection.
