This study investigated the wantedness of young women's first sexual encounter and the extent to which that encounter was voluntary.  It also looked at factors that contributed to the likelihood of contraceptive use at first intercourse.  It found that a significant number of first encounters were non-voluntary and unprotected, particularly for younger girls and girls with significantly older partners.
