This article discusses the proposed legislative amendment to Alberta's Child Welfare Act that would make prostitution-related activities a criminal offense by including them in the legal definition of child sexual abuse. It argues that this would allow children who are involved in prostitution to get help, and would ensure that they are protected instead of punished.
