This study found that a large percentage of teenagers in various countries around the world are, or have been, sexually active, thus placing them at risk for unwanted pregnancy or disease.  It also found that, in most countries, teenage sexual activity occurred mostly within marriage for girls, but largely outside of marriage for males.
