This study found that rates of unintended pregnancy in the United States have been decreasing, largely due to more widespread use of contraceptives and the greater effectiveness of the methods available.  It argues that efforts to further prevent teen pregnancy should focus on reducing risky sexual behaviour among teens, and ensuring the proper use of effective methods of contraception.
