This report uses data from national surveys to provide a comprehensive comparison of mothers and fathers on more than 40 indicators of parenting, family formation, and fertility. Indicators are grouped into a number of main categories: attitudes towards parenting, parenting practices, parent-child closeness and conflict, child care and other activities with children, parenting and school, nonresidential parenting, parental income, marriage and divorce, cohabitation, fertility, sexual activity, and contraception and abortion.
