This book chapter, entitled, "The Biology of Homosexuality: Science or Politics?" examines current information and research on the biological determinants of homosexuality. It indicates that genetic factors play an insignificant role in determining sexual orientation, and that homosexualtiy is not innate and immutable, as has been previously suggested. Rather, other factors, such as childhood sexual abuse, contribute to the development of the same-sex lifestyle.
