This evaluation of the Children's Aid-Carrera Program, an after-school intervention for disadvantaged youth in New York City, found that it was successful in reducing teenage pregnancy rates.  However, it found that this program affected the sexual attitudes and behaviours of the females only.  The authors suggest that earlier interventions may be necessary to alter the behaviours of adolescent males.
