This article discusses the risk of HIV/AIDS infection to young people, the role that adolescents play in spreading the disease, and the options for intervention programs based in schools.  It finds that many people acquire this disease in their youth, although they may not show symptoms until much later, and suggests that sex education programs in schools are necessary to educate students about HIV/AIDS and to prevent infection.
