It covers topics such as the provision of child care, barriers facing lone parents in the labour market, and employers’ provision of, and attitudes towards, family-friendly working practices. It also discusses the New Deal for Lone Parents, a public policy initiative aimed at offering work incentives to lone parents, including state-funded childcare and maternity leave provisions.
