This report from the New Zealand Families Commission argues for the continued development of parental leave policies and options, concluding by recommending the implementation of a three phase plan by 2015. The paper examines the health and social benefits of parental leave in addition to providing an international policy comparison. The paper also proposes a plan to fund the policy expansion.
