This study examined stay-at-home fathers and their integration of work and family.  Researchers found that fathers maintain close ties to work, replace time in the labour force with “self provisioning work,” and often feel a “social gaze” due to assumptions about mother/father roles.  Researchers point to a need for structural changes and policy measures to help men and women achieve work-life integration.
