This study found that obese women have a higher risk of first trimester miscarriage and recurrent early miscarriage.  In this study, 12.5 % of obese women suffered an early miscarriage compared to 10.5% of women with a normal weight and 0.4% of obese women experience recurrent early miscarriage compared to 0.1% of women with a normal weight.
