This paper focuses on the impact of parental loss on children's futures by studying both the incomes and the marital and fertility behaviour of adults who, as adolescents, experienced parental divorce. As a basis of comparison, this study also addresses the outcomes for adults who, as children, lost a parent to death as well as those who lived in dual parent homes.
