This article describes the relationship between parental verbal aggression and child aggression, delinquency, and interpersonal difficulties.  It demonstrates that this correlation exists among male and female children of all ages.  Furthermore, it finds that, when coupled with physical violence, the consequences of verbal aggression are more severe.
