In this study of Vietnamese families, the author demonstrates that mothers with higher levels of education are more likely to breastfeed their children within six hours after birth than those with lower levels of education.  Breastfeeding was also found to be higher among those living in regions with a cultural tradition of breastfeeding and a strong health promotion of breastfeeding.
