This report provides evidence that sensitive, responsive and nurturing caregiver-child interactions in the early years of a child's life are fundamental for children's healthy physical, psychological and social development.  Its research shows that disrupted, negligent and inadequate care in early childhood can have long-term, negative effects of children's development.
