This paper explores the connection between relationship quality and religious participation among married and unmarried parents in urban America.  Its findings suggest that religious participation by married men is most consistently linked with higher ratings of relationship satisfaction, while religious participation by women and unmarried men results in only intermittment reports of improved relationship quality.
