This article explores the effects of education on the marital age of Kenyan women across several generations.  It finds that, particularly for younger women, there is a strong positive association between education and the postponement of marriage.  Other factors that significantly affect girls' marital age include premarital sexual activity, religion, premarital childbearing, year of birth, and region of residence.
