This paper examines the impact of family structure on child outcomes, including educational attainment, sexual activity, and premarital union formation and childbearing. It finds that children's living arrangements have a significant impact on their transitions to adulthood, and argues that this is likely due to the different levels of conflict and parenting behaviours exhibited in various family structures.
