This paper argues that teen sexual education programs place too much focus on managing the risks of teen sexual behaviour and not enough focus on the nature of male-female relationships. The paper argues that teens lack "a normative sequence for the timing of sex, marriage and parenthood" and those who dream of having a successful marriage someday would benefit from education on the value of completing their education, bearing children after they are married and not marrying in their teenage years.
