This paper examines the ongoing same-sex marriage debate in Canada and includes a discussion of the history of this debate, past court cases, and existing legislation. The author presents a number of arguments for homosexual marriages and then explains why each is not entirely accurate or valid. He argues that caution is needed, as changing the traditional definition of marriage could have serious ramifications for society.
