This paper examines the economics of same-sex marriage and concludes that a "one size fits all" model for heterosexual and homosexual marriages may prove economically inefficient.  The author proposes that two types of marriage be created so that the principles governing traditional marriage need not be changed to include homosexuals in case such modifications make heterosexual marriage less stable.
