This paper demonstrates that increasing trends of delayed marriage, marital disruption, and cohabitation place unprecedented numbers of women at risk of non-marital childbearing.  It also looks at the relationship between cohabitation and eventual marriage, and at the effect non-marital pregnancy has on union formation.
