This paper examines, in detail, the time, money and skills that Canadians volunteered to their communities, provinces, and country in 2000 as compared to 1997. It finds that, as a whole, Canadians are very giving, and many are actively involved in their communities; however, those who consider themselves religious and those who regularly attend religious institutions are the most generous with their resources.
