This study examines 180 hours of original television programming and 37.5 hours of reruns during the first hour of prime time traditionally known as family hour. The report examines foul language, sexual and violent content and determines that only 10.6 percent of programs were free of this content. Solutions include calling on the industry and advertisers to work towards family friendlier programs and to develop a a more effective rating system.
