This paper discusses the elements, implementation, and effectiveness of the Plain Talk Program and the effectiveness of community and parental involvement in decreasing teenage sexual activity. It finds that open communication as well as better access to contraceptives (both of which are promoted by this initiative), have had significant impacts on adolescents sexual knowledge and  behaviours.
