This survey of 2000 American adults in December 2006 explores public opinion on issues of culture, media, morality and religion. Categorizing responses in three divisions, the authors summarize the responses as orthodox, progressive or independent. The authors conclude that the American public is divided on opinions about God, religion and moral codes. The authors argue that the media is accountable for a perceived moral decline in American culture.
