This paper examines the dynamics and characteristics of the marriage market in Italy from 1969 to 1995, a period encompassing both a baby boom and later a baby "bust."  The analysis is carried out at both the national and regional level, allowing for an examination of the additional influence of internal migration on the gender imbalance in the marriage market.
