This paper examines the impact of childhood experiences relating to family structure on adulthood views on parenting, family life and expectations, satisfaction, and emotional well-being. It finds minimal differences betwen the outcomes for children living in single-parent and stepfamily homes, as opposed to those who live with both their biological parents. Levels of economic disadvantage were found to have a more significant impact.
