This paper examines variations in people's perceptions of neighbourhood crime based on household race, housing tenure type, location, and type of housing structure.  It finds that blacks, those living in the inner city, those living in a multi-unit housing structure, and those living in public housing, are most likely to report that crime and criminal victimization are a problem in their neighbourhood.
