This paper explores the effects of family size on children's educational attainment in six OECD countries.  It hypothesizes that larger families have limited resources for which children must compete, thus reducing their academic attainment.  It finds some evidence of this hypothesis, but also finds significant differences between countries, which suggests that some countries are more successful at attaining educational equity.
