This study examines the prevalence of children's exposure to domestic violence and discusses the potential long-term consequences of this exposure.  Its findings suggest that witnessing parental abuse contributes to numerous problems in adulthood, including poor mental and physical health, alcohol and drug abuse, marital conflict and abuse, child abuse, and crime. Transcripts of a roundtable discussion on this topic are included.
