This article investigates the link between domestic violence and a host of negative physical, emotional, psychological, and behavioural outcomes in children. It suggests that problems such as depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, aggression, and physical illness are all potential effects of domestic violence on children. It also maintains that domestic abuse is often a precursor to child abuse and maltreatment.
