This article explores the benefits of joint custody arrangements for children following parental divorce.  It finds that, compared to children in sole custody arrangements, children in joint custody arrangements have more positive outcomes in terms of family relationships, self-esteem, emotional adjustment, behavioural adjustment, and divorce-related adjustment.
