This paper examines the complexity of parenting for non-resident fathers, and looks at how the obligations and circumstances of these arrangements affect child support and visitation. It addresses issues pertaining to non-resident fathers, such as remarriage and the addition of subsequent children, and finds that these multiple obligations can have a detrimental effect on their social and financial involvement with their biological, non-resident children.
