This chartbook uses existing data to present information relating to the social contexts of families and includes indicators relating to family structure, family functioning, work and child care, school involvement, civic engagement, religious committment, and social connections. It is intended to be exploratory in nature and to identify any gaps in existing knowledge in order to guide further research.
