This paper examines the effects of gender and family sibling composition on the division of children's time across schooling, work, and leisure activities in Indonesia.  It finds that, when unpaid labour is taken into consideration, female children tend to spend more time on work than do males.  Further, this increased workload was found to lead to decreased leisure time but not decreased time spent on education.
