This report presents the results of interviews with 40 women who were negotiating child residence and contact arrangements with an abusive ex-partner. These results are supplemented by findings from interviews with 22 professionals involved in the process of facilitating child contact arrangements. The professionals included lawyers, counsellors, refuge workers, domestic violence court assistant workers and supervised contact centre workers.
