This paper seeks to determine a correlation between a working mother and the influence this might have on her child engaging in risky activities such as sex, smoking cigarettes and marijuana, and drinking alcohol. The study looks at children from three years of age to adolescence. It finds that there is little evidence to indicate that early maternal employment has a lasting impact on a child's involvement in risky behaviour.
