This paper provides statistical information pertaining to teen motherhood and marriage and discusses the outcomes and consequences of teenage childbearing for women and their children.  It finds that women who give birth during adolescence are less likely than other women to ever marry, resulting in an increased risk of poverty, future non-marital births, and poor child outcomes.
