This report offers a statistical analysis of child poverty in Canada in 1998 as compared to previous years, and considers various factors associated with child poverty. Using data from Statistics Canada, the authors examine child poverty by looking at children specifically and by looking at their families. Family Structure and Family economics are considered as variables that affect child poverty levels.
