This report suggests that household incomes for working-aged disabled people have been dropping over the previous two decades as the babyboom generation has aged and healthcare costs have increased. Despite government initiatives to keep disabled people working, the authors worry that the stain on public spending will inhibit the future of these programs. The authors suggest that the solution may be found in the private sector.
