This paper explores life transitions that are common to Canadian families including the birth or adoption of a child, maternal/paternal leave, common-law marriage dissolution, traditional marriage dissolution and families' use of support services during these times of transition.  This study found that Canadians with higher levels of education were more likely to seek out social support services during times of transition.
