This study examines the frequency of depression among Canadian workers and associated work absence and lost productivity. The study notes associations between depression and workers based on job type, work schedule, and family structure among other characteristics. The study asserts that coping skills and co-worker support can positively affect job performance of workers suffering from depressive symptoms.
