This paper examines racial and ethnic variations in older parents' co-residence with their adult children and explores possible reasons for these patterns.  The authors suggest that immigration trends are largely responsible for these racial and ethnic differences, as older adults, particularly from Asia and South and Central America, immigrate to the United States and move in with children who immigrated at an earlier date.
