This is the first edition of the Project on Global Working Families that aims to define and measure policies affecting working families. The paper utilizes 20 evaluation markers including length of parental leave, child care, disability support and health support for older adults in order to rank countries on how working families fare vis-a-vis government programs. The authors take special interest in applying the index to American policies.
