This report presents the findings of a survey that asked teaching professionals about their perceptions of the wider benefits of further edcuation.  Perceived benefits included esteem, efficacy, problem solving and critical thinking abilities, and social integration.  These benefits are analysed and recommendations made for policy and practice.
