This paper examines the academic achievement of Canadian youth in the later years of their schooling. Educational attainment in reading, mathematics, and sciences is examined to determine whether youth have been prepared to fully participate in society. The results are used to compare provinces within Canada and compare Canada with other world countries. Also, personal characteristics and home environment are discussed in relation to scholastic success.
