This research brief reports on children's well-being during kindergarten and grade one using indicators such as cognitive skills, social skills, school engagement, and physical well-being.
Researchers found that children from different ethnic, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds scored differently on some indicators but that all children made progress on five of the seven indicators during their first two years of school.
